Through images and historical documents, we will tell the story of how the Hunts Point Slave Burying Ground was “lost” for a hundred years, until a few NYC DOE history and science educators helped identify it and help bring the cemetery’s narrative to the public, historians and the children of eponymous PS 48, The Joseph Rodman Drake School.
